Material types and suppliers

Stake-on shims
Connected to the brake pad using the bosses located on the backing plate.
Clip- ON Shim
Attached to the brake pad with folded tabs (clips) that engage the edges of the backing plate.
Classic Shim
Connected to the brake pad using the attachment cones on the supoorto plate and with glue/adhesive (acrylic, phenolic, and silicone)
